Nothing newer than 2009

A neighbor, a driveway, and something that has to start on Monday.

Why 2009In the summer of that year Cash for Clunkers took roughly 677,000 running, registered, affordable cars off the road and required every one of their engines to be destroyed. The bottom of the market never came back. What survived it is what is on this board.
No money moves through this siteThe seller says what they take and how; you settle it between the two of you, face to face, and for a car that is worth doing inside a bank. No fee, no deposit, no card on file. Where the car actually is reaches a buyer only once the seller confirms them.
Space available

No cars on this lot yet. That is the real count, not a loading state — nothing seeds this board and nothing ever will, because a car that does not exist is somebody driving across town with cash in their pocket.

Put the first one up
Before you hand over money
  1. Put it on a lift, or take somebody who knows engines.
  2. Run the VIN through the free federal recall database — these are the Takata years, and that repair costs nothing and never expires.
  3. Do the paperwork the same day. Both signatures, and a bill of sale you each keep.
The Keys and Title Agreement is short and says why.
